Why Willpower Wont Work:
We're told you should simply master your willpower and "just not do something" or just go cold turkey from a habit or behavior; how many times has that actually worked for you though?
Willpower is a conscious resource that is in limited supply. It largely depends on your energy level (fatigue and available energy for your brain affect every decision you make) and your motivational habits (which are largely untrained in most people).
Here's how willpower fails: in a process called Saliency, your brain is unconsciously processing about 11 million bits of information across multiple sensory routes per second, every second of every day. By contrast, conscious awareness handles only about 40–60 bits per second and it only gets to act on the information the unconscious decides it needs..
Every piece of that 11 million bits of information your brain encounters is unconsciously checked against memories to evaluate for safety and perceived accuracy. Only things that are directly task relevant or emotionally important reach that 40-60 bits of Salience or conscious awareness...but the rest of all that data influences all the background emotional material you experience and, here's the kicker, the memories used by the unconscious are changed over time.
This process is automatic and you never even know about this happening. It guides your everyday decisions, the emotions you experience, changes your sensory data if needed and rewrites your memories over time as needed.
Willpower Doesn't Work because it's the very last step in a lightning quick process designed to move so fast that you don't have time to consciously activate it.

The Archeus (From Greek archÄ“ (á¼€ρχή)Meaning: origin, first principle, governing source, that which initiates or rules...in case you were wondering) is the process that gives you the ability to beat your unconscious habits by changing the whole process outlined above by changing how your unconscious mind interacts with the memories it uses at the very beginning of the Saliency Process. It alters the Saliency process at its beginning so you never even have to exercise willpower. You simply watch as the changes take place.

That's the short and simple explanation, I'm happy to explain the neuroscience behind it when you apply.
